HI,

I have just installed MyEclipse Enterprise Workbench 4.0 for Windows XP and have paid for a registration key. The problem I have is that MyEclipse is not retaining my registration details. Every time I start Eclipse and go into the MyEclipse functionality I have to re-enter by registration details.

I have check the Eclipse Product configuration screens to look for any updates and there are non reported. However, the product config screen reports MyEclipse as version 3.9.310 and not version 4.0.

I have reported this once and sent the extra detailed info you asked for (logs, reg key etc) and have not heard a word back since.

What’s going on?

Thanks in advance, Mark Higginbottom

Mark,
This is a known problem that will be fixed in our 4.0 GA release Monday, in the mean time to work around the problem if you go to Help > About > Configuration Details, and scroll down until you find the line "user.home=", then open a file explorer and go make sure that the directory user.home points to exists, if it doesn't, pelase create it.

Have followed the instructions above. The directory pointed to by user.home already exists, it is the profile directory for my user in WindowsXP. What next?

Did you upgrade to 4.0 GA? We have 2 strategies in GA, first try the user home dir, if that fails, store the information in your workspace. Unless you have serious permission issues this should work.

jastipraveen,
I don't understand your post. If you are having a registration problem please email subscriptions@myeclipseide.com, or if you are having a more general problem, please post in detail what it is so I can help.
